It is important that all entries have the following included with the forms:

  • Disc 1: Film
  • Disc 2: Synopsis (Word Doc) & Jpeg Still
  • No entry fee required for International entries

How do you know if your film has been short-listed?

Films short-listed for screening will be listed on the fresh website prior to the festival screening and awards announcements.

If you have any questions about entering a film please contact the festival and we will be happy to answer your questions.

International History

In 1993 Fresh Film Festival screened ‘Kids in America’ a collection of films made by young people from the MEDIA Project in Atlanta and so began Fresh’s relationship with filmmakers and festivals from all over the world. Over the years Fresh has developed its internationl links in different ways, from filmmaker exchanges to film shares, awards to workshops Fresh is always seeking new and innovative ways of engaging with international young filmmakers and audiences.

Regulations

To be eligible for inclusion entries must be:

• The original work of filmmaker/s under the age of 18.

• Supplied on DVD (PAL) and/or mini DV tape.

• Completed after December, 2009

• 15 mins or less in length inclusive of title and end credits.

• If the film is in a language other than English they must be subtitled in English

• You must include a still image from your film on CD-ROM or via e-mail, and a synopsis of your film.

• Fill and return the release form with your application. - There is no entry fee for international films.

• You may enter as many films as you like but please include only one film per mini DV tape / DVD

• The Fresh Film Festival reserves the right to use submitted entries to promote the aims of the Fresh Film Festival
