SIGNIS Europe General Assembly 2011 - Budapest, Hungary

Conference dates: June 29th – 1st July:

Fresh Film Festival will present a paper on Young People and the Media. Six films by young Irish filmmakers will be screened.

In June Fresh will make a presentation at Signus, at this presentation we will show some of your films and make a presentation to the conference about the activities of young filmmakers in Ireland. Fresh has been able to participate in this event though the support of the Radharc Trust. Mr. Liam O’Mahony from Loreto Secondary School Fermoy will also attend to represent teachers who develop, particulary documentary film, in the classroom

The six films submitted from Fresh 2011 are;
Wake-up call, 4;27 am, The Elwood Killing, Have you Ever?, Az Utalosó Livoskaja - The Last Princess and Let Time Go Lightly.

The six films submitted from Radharc are: Sneakers, What is Poverty, The First Rose of Tralee, One Life……One Chance, S.T.D. Sex Trafficing Docudrama, Sending Yantha Home.

Jayne & Ciarda will attend a conference on young people and cinema. ‘Support the Youth Cinema – Invest on your European Filmmakers”. Fresh have been invited to screen your films and speak about filmmaking in Ireland, the list of films will be announced shortly.

Seoul International Youth Film Festival. South Korea.

Festival dates: July 8th- 14th

Fresh is delighted to be bringing filmmakers to the SIYFF film camp in Korea for the fifth year. Every year Fresh selects a few young filmmakers to travel to Korea to participate in a unique festival. Fresh selects proven award winning filmmakers who are 16 + and this year Miriam Fergusson, Jack Doyle and Alan Doyle will be travelling to the camp in July.

Fresh thanks the filmmakers families, its funders and supporters and the SIYFF camp for helping to make this travel possible.
